Given the tremendous rise in people expressing a variety of gender identities, neuropsychologists need to understand how to work effectively and affirmatively with this population, including understanding the intersection with autism spectrum disorder.
In this webinar, Dr. Orlich will present Best Practices for evaluating gender-diverse individuals, particularly:
•Delineating the role of neuropsychologists and psychologists in gender-affirming care
•Choosing appropriate assessment instruments
•Understanding the possible effects of medical treatments, such as hormone therapies, on evaluation results
Dr. Orlich will also discuss the intersection of Autism Spectrum Disorder and gender diversity and discuss emerging trends in the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder for gender-diverse individuals.
